Incompletes

The grade I (Incomplete) may be given at the instructor’s discretion in exceptional, documented cases if, after completing most of the work in a course, because of illness or other reasons beyond your control, you are unable to complete the remaining course requirements. Undergraduates may have an I grade removed and another grade substituted if they complete the course requirements to the instructor’s satisfaction within six weeks of the beginning of the following semester. Graduates have until the end of the next semester to complete the instructor's course requirements to have the I grade removed. If you fail to remove the Incomplete within the prescribed period, the I will automatically be replaced by an F on your permanent record. It is your responsibility to make arrangements to complete the course requirements for the removal of the I.
