Dual Enrollment /Associate to Bachelors Program

This dual enrollment, associate to bachelors option is available to eligible students once they are accepted to a community college nursing program. 入学 is competitive 和 based on completed courses 和 grade point average (GPA). Students will be enrolled as degree students at the community college 和 at FSU 和 begin to take FSU online courses 在 the nursing program at the community college. Once the Associate of Science Degree (A.S.) is awarded at the community college, students must take 和 pass the nursing licensure exam, 的NCLEX-RN, 和 then continue coursework at FSU to complete the Bachelor of Science in 护理 (B.S.N.).

Coursework occurs face-to-face at the community college. Courses at FSU are delivered via an asynchronous study such as discussion ‘chat’ board or through a synchronous ‘virtual’ classroom. While most of the program is online, there is a 135 practicum hour requirement that is completed in the student’s community after successful completion of the NCLEX 和 proof of RN licensure. FSU offers multiple options for completing the practicum hours using both synchronous 和 asynchronous practices.
Flexible Options for Students
We offer progression plans tailored to the community college to help students complete the program in a timely manner. Students can complete the dual enrollment program in as little as 9 terms, including winter 和 summer sessions. It take approximately 2 ½ years to complete.
Target Student Demographic
The curriculum is designed to decrease time to a bachelor’s degree by offering dual enrollment for students in an associate nursing program at their local community college. This program will prepare graduates to assume roles in leadership, complex clinical care coordination, 和 community/ public health, 和 serves as the academic foundation for graduate study.

我如何申请?
Students applying to this dual enrollment option must also apply first to the community college Associate of Science in 护理 program. 入学 to the dual enrollment option is contingent upon admission to the community college nursing program. Students applying for this option will complete a transfer application. Once the application is completed, forward all official transcripts to the 入学s Office. The transfer credits are reviewed 和 if admission criteria is met, the applicant will receive an acceptance letter from 入学s. The application is then reviewed for acceptance into the dual enrollment nursing program by the ATB Coordinator. If admission criteria is met, the ATB Coordinator will notify the applicant of acceptance.
