Appalachian Festival
Held each fall on the third full weekend of September, event celebrates all that is unique to the Appalachian region — its culture, history, music and dance, folk arts, and more. Events kick off with a Thursday evening film festival, continue Friday with a symposium highlighting contemporary issues in Appalachia, and culminates with a free outdoor Saturday Festival and a capstone concert in Frostburg’s Historic Palace Theatre.
