Donnell H. VanSkiver

Donnell H. VanSkiver, 帽, 欧洲议会议员, OM is an accomplished administrative professional, respected industry leader, and passionate advocate for the administrative profession. As Executive Administrative Assistant to the President at Frostburg State University, she provides support to 5 executives. Donnell’s academic background includes an Associate of Applied Science degree in Office Technologies from Allegany College of Maryland, where she later served as an Advisory Council member for the Administrative Assistant’s Program. She also completed Cornell University’s certificate program in Business Management Essentials.

With over 2 decades of experience, Donnell has held support roles in diverse industries including staffing, 医疗保健, law enforcement, defense contracting, and higher education. Donnell holds certifications as a Certified Administrative Professional (帽), in Meeting & Event Planning (欧洲议会议员), and Organizational Management (OM). 另外, she was previously a certified instructor for the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission. In her role at Frostburg State University, Donnell developed and launched the innovative 适应 (Administrative Development and Professional Training) program, which empowers the university’s community of administrative professionals with essential skills and leadership foundations. The program’s success has led to its expansion beyond the university, creating a valuable resource for the region.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Donnell is an active community member, serving on various steering committees for the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce and facilitating #IAmRemarkable workshops. She is an alumna of Leadership Allegany and is actively involved with professional organizations including the International Association of Administrative Professionals, the American Society of Administrative Professionals, and the National Association of Presidential Assistants in Higher Education.

In 2023, Donnell was awarded the prestigious Leadership Award at the Washington, DC and Mid-Atlantic Region Admin Awards, receiving an impressive 19 nominations. She is now a member of the program’s Advisory Board.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Donnell is a dedicated law enforcement wife, 狗妈妈, and avid reader. She enjoys culinary adventures and embraces her inner rock star persona. Donnell and her husband enjoy weekend road trips, 体育, and any activity that fosters friendly competition.
