Health Benefits Open Enrollment in SPS Workday

The Office of Human Resources is pleased to announce that this year’s Open Enrollment for State of Maryland Health Benefits will be online in SPS Workday beginning October 19, 2020 at 8:00 am through November 13, 2020 at 5:00 pm. During this time, employees can enroll in and/or make changes to their Health Benefits for an effective date of January 1, 2021. Employees will receive alerts about Open Enrollment from the State of Maryland via the SPS Workday system.
Employees will have access to Open Enrollment resources as they become available from the State of Maryland. Resources will include Open Enrollment videos, virtual information session dates, state wellness information, and links to the 2021 benefits guide and rates.
Active Employees will not receive printed Open Enrollment materials; for this reason, it is important that employees gain access to SPS Workday using the new OneLogin Process. Instructions can be found here.
You Must Take Action If …
- You want to enroll for the first time, change plans, or change coverage levels for 2021
- You wish to participate or continue to participate in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for 2021. The IRS requires all flexible spending account participants to re-enroll in these plans every year. If you wish to continue these plan(s), be sure to make your elections for 2021 by the Nov. 13, 2020 deadline
All employees are reminded to update their personal information through HR/PROD Self-Service. Please take a few moments to review your information; changes to your information can be made under “Self Service” in HR/PROD.

Your contact information listed in our system is used to populate your SPS Workday record. Incorrect information could prevent you from receiving important messages regarding Open Enrollment and/or communications from healthcare providers, 等.
